Necessary Evil
It's hard to say 'this game is x' since the gold pack is not just a game and gold membership necessary if you want to play xbox online with other players. Xbox comes with a silver membership, which is pretty much good for nothing. You need gold to do anything decent. br / br /There is a small racing game that comes with this and my husband and kid enjoyed playing it for a week or so. br / br /The keyboard that came with this is very nice, but I was bummed to find that netflix doesn't use it, so I still have to go to my computer to find movies. br / br /BTW, what's up with Microsoft making a game without a browser? There are widget type things that allow you see SOME things on twitter and facebook, but why not just put IE in the box????? Crazy! I have a browser on my phone, but my Internet enabled Samsung TV and Microsoft's Xbox limit you to widgets... br / br /So, the keyboard is nice, but not needed and my xbox 360 elite came with a headset, so not really needed, but always good to have a spare. br / br /Good kit overall, but you can also just buy the gold pack alone, so just get whatever the best price is for the parts you want. br / br /One other thing I would highly recommend for the xbox (besides more controllers, of course) is the rechargable controller! You can buy just the recharge pack for a controller or a controller with a recharge pack. br / br /Look around! Find what works best for you. I bought the xbox 360 elite, a battery pack, a controller with battery pack and this package. It was the perfect combo. My kid loves the xbox and plays online with his friends and I love the HD netflix! The xbox is also a DVD player, although not blu-ray like the PS3, but my kid likes the games on this and PS3 doesn't support netflix at this time. Good stuff to know! :) br / br /I will also say that I ordered this two weeks before xmas and got the xbox two days later and this messenger package the day after that, so Amazon did well for me. :)
